Dwell in the Shelter of The Most High

Dwell in the Shelter of The Most High

What does dwell mean to you?   According to the  dictionary dwell means to live or stay as a permanent resident; reside.  The word dwell is used in the old testament over 400 times.

Read what this has meant to our team member Tammy.

This word brought such comfort to me during a time in my life that should have been such a joyful occasion: the birth of my youngest grandson, Louis. He was born at 25 weeks and weighed only 1 lb. and 10 oz.  To say I was scared for his life is an understatement.  Just the previous year, my daughter had lost a baby born at 20 weeks.  So, we were happy he came a few weeks later and had a better chance of survival but still felt terrified.  I had to dwell in my savior’s arms and trust Him no matter what happened. I had to rest in the shadow of the Almighty and know that He was holding Louis.

Now that Louis is 15 months old and growing stronger every day, I continually rest knowing that I am in the shadow of the Almighty.

Dwelling in the shelter of the most high is not temporary.  This is a place you are to reside in order to find rest.
