"All My Life He Has Been Faithful"

Each month in Lemonade Reminders, we have a theme verse that the products inside the Kit are centered around.  Although the September Encouragement Kit theme is not a specific Bible verse, many Bible verses point to these words,  “All my life He has been faithful” is the focus and it is a line taken from the Christian song “Goodness of God.” This song is really special to me and I especially love the version that the Saddleback Church Worship team has put together.  I’m sharing a link. I hope you can get somewhere quiet to listen to it. I hope it ministers to you as much as it has me!

A Look Back on 2020

Last year when I was creating  our “Words to Remember Calendar” I looked through my journals to help me choose the verses for the calendar.  After all the events of 2020, I felt so strongly that I needed to use the calendar as a tool for encouragement and reminders of hope.  I noticed that this line from the song showed up repeatedly in my journals, although it was not a specific scripture verse, I knew in my heart it needed to be part of our calendar.

It Grabbed My Heart's Attention

From the very first time I heard the song it grabbed my heart’s attention and has continued to minister to me every time I hear it.

During times of uncertainty, and we’ve all had many of those, it is so good to remind our hearts and minds of the One Who IS certain...Who IS faithful!

When Life Doesn't "Feel" Fair

When life doesn’t “feel” fair and good, it is helpful to remind our hearts and mind Who IS good and merciful!

When life’s circumstances have us feeling alone and isolated, it is good to remind our hearts and mind of the One who is ALWAYS with me.

Reminders of Truth Playing in My Mind

Recently, I was in the middle of a stretch of days where it felt like everything was going wrong.  It was really beginning to wear on me!  My sister sent me a message saying that when she is in the middle of a battle she finds it helpful to use praise as her weapon and included a link with the song she likes to use as her “fight song.”

Guess what the song was? Yes!  It was the same song I’m telling you about in this blog post!

I put it on repeat and let it play off and on all day. I went outside to start work. I pulled up my task list and realized my task for that day was to set up the September design.

It brought such a big smile when I looked down and saw the September design. Yes, Lord! I remember! I played that song off and on all day for several days. I played it first thing in the morning, throughout the day and again before I went to bed.

A Treatment of Truth

It was so sweet to wake up and the song is already playing in my mind!  Our minds are so amazing!  Playing that song over and over was like giving it an IV treatment of Truth.  It absorbed it and started playing it back to me!

Here are some of the words to that precious song. Have you ever experienced a time when the Lord used music to minister to you and remind you of His goodness?  I would love to hear about it! Comment below and share your own testimony to God's faithfulness!

Sincerely,

Here is a portion of the words from the song “Goodness of God”

I love You, Lord

For Your mercy never fails me

All my days, I've been held in Your hands

From the moment that I wake up

Until I lay my head

Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God

And all my life You have been faithful

And all my life You have been so, so good

With every breath that I am able

Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God

I love Your voice

You have led me through the fire

In the darkest night

You are close like no other

I've known You as a Father

I've known You as a Friend

And I have lived in the goodness of God (yeah)
